Highlights of the day:

Major upset in the Little League Softball, 7 time finalist Bacolod has been upset by Cavite in a thrilling 9-8 game in Smokey Mountain Baseball Field.  This sets the final four in Little League Softball to the following teams: Cavite, Muntinlupa, Nueva Ecija and ILLAM.  They start a round robin tomorrow at the Luneta playing fields.

Rizal won an exciting 1-0 game over Sta Cruz, after 6 scoreless innings, Rizal won with an RBI at the bottom of the 7th with one out.  There was also a close 7-6 loss by Tanauan by ILLAM setting up a preview of Satruday's Big League Championship game.  

Expect some thrilling games in Big League Softball - crucial knockout games for ILLAM, Sta Cruz and Rizal.  There is also a do-or-die elimination game between Muntinlupa and Bacolod in Junior League Softball.

Most of the positions have been set in the Little League Division for the knockout Round of 16.  The games tomorrow help set positions although there are crucial ties in Group A: Calamba, Muntinlupa and Nueva Ecija; Group D: 4 teams fighting for 2nd place; and must win games for Zamboanga and Los Banos in Group C.

Tomorrow also has a special game in Somkey Mountain featuring Manila vs Camarines Norte.  It will be a first for the field of dreams.
